Internet gaming is fun but it multiplies when you can share it everywhere with video to share your tips and tricks or just to show off your 'skillz'. As it turns out not all the screen recorder out there allows you to record video in HD and capable of recording games without lag for free. I have come to find the perfect screen recorder for PC gaming that meets all my requirements easily and hopefully you will find it useful as well.

Basic information about Xfire

Xfire is a free but well known software that recognizes online games and allow players to interact, voice chat or use instant massage as well as allowing them to record in game actions to share. The video is always the dimension you are playing in, so don't worry about getting ow quality video. You can easily share your videos anywhere in the web or your projects.

My experience

I was really happy to find this tool and at the first was it suspicious about all this with free of charge. After using this software for a while I am very satisfied with it. The controls fells somewhat odd at the beginning but you soon get used to it. This tool does more than just recording high definition video of your game, you can add your friends to do some chatting while you play game as well. I did have one issue with this software, the solution is discussed below.

Issues with Xfire

If you are running too many programs or your computer is not powerful enough, sometimes Xfire can interfere with game and slow it down for you. It won't cause any problem or lag in your recording but the game play might be bit laggy. Luckily this is not permanent, I have found the solution to the problem with a simple trick that I have discussed in a different post -[Link-Coming-Soon].

Another problem was getting used to the new controls of this software. You can see the video above or go to the tutorial pots explaining basic controls of Xfire - Xfire Recording Tutorial.

That would sum of everything I have to say about this tool, leave a comment below sharing your favorite tool, issues problems or any help you might need using this software. I would be happy to help you out.

No mention of BB FlashBack! I would suggest BB FlashBack Express free edition - It lets you record your screen, sound and webcam, share movies with one-click upload to Youtube and other video sharing sites, and save movies as Flash or AVI files.

    1. Hmm never tried out before, I will test it and if it is good enough it is certainly gonna be featured on my blog. Thanks for the suggestion.

I myself have used bb flashback, and it's great for recording powerpoints. It doesn't even look recorded. However I play a lot of Minecraft and I like using Bandicam for that. I'm surprised the free version wasn't mentioned because the watermark it leaves is fairly small and it doesn't block anything important since it's transparent.
